For those who love the ocean and want to carry a piece of that energy with them. This pendant is my artistic rendering of a cresting ocean wave. It has a graphic and bold feel. It can be personalized on the back with a name or message.
I create the bail by hand from heavy brass wire. You can choose between a loop or a lined bail.
The wave is .75 inches in diameter. The handmade brass bail attaches the wave from a 4 mm wide black cotton lace. There is an extension chain the back to create your perfect fit. I only use supplies that are as eco-friendly as possible.
The pendants are cut out of pure copper sheet metal. I then enamel each piece by a technique called "sifting". Enamel is a finely powdered glass that fuses into metal when fired with a torch or kiln at approximately 1500 degree for several minutes. Different colors and effects can be created based on the type of enamel used and various techniques. Each piece is enameled on both sides to ensure strength.
