Collection: Enamel Wave Earrings
My updated mini wave enamel earrings are a fun way to add the ocean to your daily outfit. I designed these tiny waves to be simple and elegant. I make a tiny eternity symbol out of silver wire and hammer the edges. These little eternity symbols hang down between the ear wire and wave. They are very light and swing with the breeze. These lovely handmade enamel wave earrings are a perfect gift for girls or women who love the ocean. Gifting handmade artisan jewelry is a great way to share your love of items made by hand here in the U.S. Those of you who appreciate items made individually by people in our communities instead of being mass produced are our heroes! We can not sell our artistic labors of love without your support. Thank you so much for buying handmade!
These earrings are truly handmade. The waves are cut out of copper sheet. I then sift on powdered glass (enamel) and fire the waves in my kiln at 1500 degrees. The enamel melts into the metal, creating a permanent bond. Each wave is enameled with two layers on the front and back of the piece, creating strength and beauty. The backs are light blue. The first layer is white opaque enamel and the second is the color. I use silver plated wire to hold the wave in place, with the crest just above to fall. I also use silver plated 20 gauge wire to make my ear wires.
I only use supplies that are as eco-friendly as possible. I also recycle my metals and materials used in the creation of my items.
